is a 501 (c) 3 public charity formed to honor the memory of Joe Banjo Burke (October 3, 1946 – December 18, 2003), a well-known traditional musician and hurler from Johnstown, County Kilkenny, Ireland, by:
• supporting scientific research that contributes to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease or helps define the causes and effects of Parkinson’s
• supporting traditional Irish arts and sports
• publishing information related to the above two causes
• raising funds for the above purposes.
